When a steam locomotive is being fired up in the Nevada Northern engine house most of the smoke goes up the smoke jacks, but some fills the air in the building. At the right time of day sunshine steams in from the clerestory lites on the buildings roof creating curtains of light. Here we see the hook and boom of steam wrecker #A, also known as the "Big Hook." Today this machine is a working museum piece.
