A red-tailed hawk burst from the entanglement of branches behind him with a freshly caught squirrel and headed directly towards me in a snowy, cold wintry day in Rahway, NJ. A rare sight in an urban area, I was fortunate to have had my camera pre-set to shutter priority (1-1000 sec), resulting in an aperture of f-6.3 and ISO of 1600.
