This waterfall is one of the superheated springs that feed into the Gardiner River at this location. Water from the springs can reach temps above 113 degrees Fahrenheit. They mix with the frigid water of the river and create a very popular natural hot springs. Especially when the temperatures are near freezing and the ground is covered with snow and ice!
