Travel is not just about the places we visit, but the people we meet too. Sadhus (holy Hindu men) have inhabited Varanasi since time immemorial. They forego material pleasures in life in search of spirituality in oneself, love and nirvana. After talking to me about how Benaras has changed socio-economically due to mass not-just-religious tourism, he played the flute.
