Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Dixon park beach, Newcastle. It was on a lovely morning when I decided fly my drone. Looking back at it now I would've never thought that I could achieve this and I am glad that I flew my drone. Thanks for the nomination(:

Time

This is one of my favourite photos, it was taken one early Friday at about 5:30AM. I was really stoked when I got this photo and decided to post it on Vewbug but I never thought that I could achieve this.

Lighting

The lighting in this photo was brilliant. It is filled with golden rays popping through the mysterious clouds. I wanted the viewres to feel like they were looking over Dixon park beach so I used my drone. This rusulted in a brilliant shot.

Equipment

This photo was shot with a Dji phantom 3 professional.

Inspiration

I took inspiration from a fellow photographer Joe Mcgaffin, after seeing his amazing shots I was inspired to go out and try to get my own magnificent photos

Editing

Most of the time my landscapes require a lot of processing. This photo was different, straight out of the drone the image was popping. Of course there was a little bit of colour correction to do but that was about it.

In my camera bag

Most of the time in my camera bag I carry my canon 80d,my 2 lenses: A 18-135 f 5.6 and a 50mm-f1.8. I also carry a couple of other things like my tripod and my Nd variable filters and my notebook where i write my ideas.

Feedback

I think for other photographers that are looking to do landscapes or just photography in general should just pay attention to every small detail of what others do. This means that you should do every course, ask peers all the questions in the world and just be observant. Look at what other people are doing and learn from it. That is my advice.
