I have no idea what that means

Behind The Lens

Location

Brooklyn NY

Time

As far as I remember, it was close to evening.

Lighting

The old man in this photo is probably a homeless. He was sitting on a bench in a park and enjoying the sun. When I saw him, I thought he looked very photographic. I asked him if I could take a photo of him. He was so happy that I asked to photograph him. He told me that people just photograph him without his permission and it really annoyed him. I have never seen the man again.

Equipment

It was taken with a nikon and most likely a prime lens. I was with my daughter(she was probably 2 or 3 at the time), so I didn’t have a lot of time to take the photo.

Inspiration

The way he looked, made me stop to talk to him.

Editing

There is some saturation on the eyes and perhaps some high pass in photoshop

In my camera bag

Now I usually have a 28-70 2.8 lens and sometimes I also bring a wide aperture prime lens for better low light photos.

Feedback

It’s important to talk to your subject.
