Cold, misty, foggy, and bright all all ways I could describe this moment on the Mississippi River. It sure makes shooting a challenge because it can affect clarity. I lost several shots due to this but in other shots I found it simply breathtaking. I love what it can add to an image. It isn't perfect or easy to plan for but, when it works, it is magical. For this image, I was sitting on a rock along the bank. The rock was covered in snow and ice, but it gave me just enough of an angle above the mist to track the eagle flying over the water among the misty patches of white. So pretty, so elegant, and so magical.
