Using a very shallow depth of field along with a gold reflector laying flat, flat under the subject's elbows, cast a subtle, golden flare from the bottom of the screen but had a very sharp falloff in the Z direction and really pops her out of the black surrounding. This was done with 2 speed flash units, one as a shoot through white diffuser for the key light, and the other in front of the subject aimed at the golden relector.
