I traveled alone to Indiana to see one of my favorite musicians perform. There were so many beautiful people there in this very small town to see the show. During this time in my life, I was in deep depression and had been isolating myself at home, as I do often when I get this "down".
My observance of so many gorgeous woman among me was the inspiration of this "selfie". They all had their phones out, taking pictures of themselves laughing and having fun. …This was my state of mind in that moment, surrounded by people, wanting to be somebody else. The band I traveled to see finally began to play. As I stood in the front but off to very left side, alone, I looked back to see most people weren't even paying attention to "Konrad Wert". The ladies were loud and obnoxious right along with so many other disrespectful patrons.
I felt the music, the soul, the pain and happiness. I took it all in because I had no choice! It had me! I then felt to be so lucky, so grateful and most beautiful!
