This photo was taken on the front lawn of my home (on a farm) in Kingseat, Franklin County in Auckland. New Zealand.Time
This was taken late morning on a Saturday. It was thankfully a dull summers day.Lighting
I shot late morning and as it was a dull summers day, the lighting worked well. My models were able to feel relaxed without bright sunshine. Only natural lighting used as shot outdoors!Equipment
My camera is a Canon EOS 400D. My sister was no longer using it so kindly gave it to me as she saw how my passion for photography had become an important part of my creativity and extension of myself, exploring and showing the world ow I see it through the lens.Inspiration
I was doing a family shoot with the sisters and had always wanted to do a shot where I was looking down on the family. I also wanted to do a shot where the sisters were laying down and facing the same way. I asked the girls to lay down and they chose to lay the way they did. I was really happy with how the shot turned out!Editing
I use lightroom to edit my photos. I chose Black & White HDR - some minor tweaks with black, shadows and highlights - I loved the end result!In my camera bag

I was up on the deck and had the girls lay down - they chose to lay the way they did - I was going to get them to lay the same way. I took the shot looking down at them! I think that sometimes its good to let your models or who you ar shooting take the lead in choosing a pose or poses! This one sure worked for me!
