Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my own backyard on a bright sunny day.

Time

I believe it was mid-afternoon at the time of the photo.

Lighting

This was just natural sunlight, no flash involved.

Equipment

I used my Canon 5D Mark II and I believe I was using my 90mm macro at the time.

Inspiration

I wanted to take a floral photo with rain drops . So I put the bouquet of roses on a table in my yard and turned on my lawn sprinkler.

Editing

There wasn't any need to post-process the image. I felt the colours were a bit under-saturated but left it alone due to my lack of experience with the editor I was using.

In my camera bag

I usually bring my Canon 5D Mark II and like to use my 90mm Macro, my 70-200mm telephoto as well as my 24-70 telephoto.

Feedback

All it took for this shot was an existing bouquet of roses and some imagination. Hope you enjoy the photo and you try something similar. Have fun, experiment with shutter speeds, special effects, or whatever else you can think of.
