On this small scale it is hard to see what this photo is really about. The contrast between the massive, shiny, new building and the poor, almost insignificant, city dweller pushing his shopping cart full of recycling struck me as poignant. As our inner cities are being rebuilt with big money and big, shinny buildings, the homeless and disadvantaged are pushed to the fringes with no improvement to their living conditions.
