I haven't had much opportunity to get out and shoot lately, aside from a small bit of contract work. As such, I've been revisiting old folders on my hard drive looking for hidden gems that I may have missed the first time around.

I'm also about 18 months out from my next trip to the islands, and am starting my preliminary idea gathering for what I want to do and when. The only thing set in stone right now is climbing the mountain where I placed my late fiancée's ashes on the tenth anniversary of her passing.

This shot comes from Road to the Sea beach shortly after sunset with a full moon's illumination. Road to the Sea is definitely someplace that I'd like to revisit. It's about six miles off the paved road at the far end of a rather rough lava trail, and has a distinct green sand due to an abundance of olivine. It's also a fairly common area to spot whale sharks, so I'm thinking of spending the better part of a full day here between landscapes in morning and evening light, and snorkeling throughout the day. This, of course, would be followed by dinner at the L&L BBQ just down rout 11 from the lava road.
