Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo inside of my brothers house.

Time

I took it pretty late at night so there wouldn’t be any light coming in from the windows.

Lighting

Lighting can be very tricky because just a little to much or not enough can make things harder to fix later.

Equipment

For this photo I used my Canon EOS Rebel t6 with an external flash.

Inspiration

I didn’t really have any insoeration for it. I was just messing around with my new flash and happened to get what you see here.

Editing

The only thing I really did after was I made the background just a little darker and her face slightly brighter so you can focus on it better.

In my camera bag

I normally carry a 50mm lens, my camera, lens cleaners, and extra batteries and memory cards. I try to keep it pretty basic so I don’t have to travel with to much.

Feedback

The only advice I can really give is to make sure you have a pet willing to sit still long enough to capture a photo. If you can’t get them to relax long enough you can always trying using a treat so they focus on you not their surroundings. Also, make sure you have the proper lighting because lighting is one of the most important things to focus on in photography!
