Driving through Red Rock Loop we spotted these giant red rock buttes as a backdrop to some bright yellow trees. I knew it’d be some good contrast for a shot, but unfortunately there were a few obstacles blocking my field of view. I needed a higher vantage point. So, given we were driving a rental car, it seemed only fitting as giant base for my tripod. I climbed on top, set up shop, took the shot, and stood there for a few minutes taking in the view. There were only a few strange looks of why some idiot was standing on a sedan on the side of the road.
