About 8.00. It was the first morning after arrival in this tiny hotelLighting
The light in Greece is very special in the morning and before sunset. The warmth of light is just incredible. You don't need anything except your eyes, and keep ISO down as much as possible.Equipment
My old Nikon D40 with basic zoom lense Nikkor.Inspiration
The colors and the beauty of the frame, just astonishingEditing
The only processing I did was slightly lighting up the shadows of the doors, otherwise they would have been a little too dark and the contrasts of blues would have been less visible. In my camera bag
When you use low-cost flights to go camping during holidays luggage is a real problem. So in these cases equipment goes down to an absolute minimum. Also you won't leave lenses lying around in your tent whilst hiking or swimming, so usually I just take my D90 with a AF S Nikkor 18-200 3.5. If we take the car equipment goes up to a couple more single lenses, maybe a small tripod.Feedback
If you want to shoot great pics in Greece, the best piece of advice is: get up really early! During central daytime your camera mostly will not be able to do anything fancy. The light between 10.00 and 17.00 is just brutal, shadows will be black and skies white. So leave it in the hotel, enjoy the places and keep an eye open for the settings that in the early morning or late evening will get the best light for great pics. And the next morning go there early with your camera, ready to shoot a wonderful session. Carpe diem
