Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken from on of the creeks in the eastern sierra.

Time

it was around two hours before sundown, i planned to capture the golden light as it hit the water.

Lighting

the golden light shimmers as the water bends and flows. direct light is not ideal but ample light is a must to capture the details in the water.

Equipment

I used my Sony a7sii with my FE 90mm macro lens, for stabilization gitzo mountaineer tripod.

Inspiration

Through my love for nature and landscape I have found a passion for capturing the abstract in nature.

Editing

the only post processing done is basic adjustments.

In my camera bag

my gear consist of my a7rii and a7sii, canon 16-35mm f/2.8, 24-105mm f/4, tamrom 150-600mm. breakthrough and singh ray filter - polarizer, nd filters, and reverse nd filters.

Feedback

when capturing the flow of water decide the texture you want to capture, adjust your shutter speed and iso accordingly. make sure you have ample lighting, use a polarizer if light is directly bouncing of the surface. use a tripod when longer exposures are used.
