I shot this on Boneyard Beach at Big Talbot State Park near Jacksonville, Florida on Sunday. It was a beautiful sunny day but somehow a colorful sunny image didn't seem appropriate for a boneyard so I converted it to black and white and processed it to be dramatic and moody.

The driftwood on this mile or so of beach is primarily comprised of enormous trees. The large one in this photo had a trunk diameter of at least 4 or 5 feet. The high point of the root section is about 10 feet above the sand.
