This was taken early in the afternoon during the fall.

Lighting

Usually, shots like this are really dependent on the time of day, the position of the sun, and the angle at which you are shooting.

Equipment

This was shot with a Canon Rebel T6i using the 18mm to 50mm kit lens

Inspiration

I loved this neighborhood. I come from the inner city of Baltimore and have never lived anywhere like this before. With all the trees and wide-open spaces, I used to love taking walks around the area to take it all in. Fall is probably one of the most beautiful times of the year in a place like this. With all of the trees, it becomes an explosion of color. Once I bought my first DSLR camera, it was only natural that I would want to capture the season with pictures.

Editing

I didn't do a lot of post-processing with this picture. Just a bit of saturation.

In my camera bag

I typically carry extra lenses, filters, a lens hood, and an external microphone with a dead cat in case I feel like vlogging.

Feedback

The only advice I'd give for anyone trying to take similar shots is to just go somewhere where there are a bunch of trees and open fields. Walk around and take your time and really focus on getting the best composition you can.
