Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture on a bridge over river Ichen at the base of St.Catherine's hill near Winchester UK

Time

the picture was taken 17:15 at sunset one December afternoon

Lighting

it was a clear dry day at sun set with a few white clouds about which made a good colour to the sky and the river

Equipment

i used my Canon EOS 100D camera with the kit lense EFS 18- 55mm macro it was hand held as i had a wall 2 foot thick to lean on

Inspiration

i couldn't get to the point i wanted to , to get the sunset picture i wanted that day because of time so i parked up and looked for another composition so to be honest i stumbled across it

Editing

yes i did a little post processing in light room with exposure and light balance as at the time i didn't understand light balance properly in camera

In my camera bag

i dont have any filters i have mt canon EOS100D Canon EFS18-55mm macro lens (kit) no IS and Canon EF 75-300mm telephoto lens (kit no IS i use a hahnel captur remote trigger and a Vanguard Veo 204AB tripod a plain peace of white paper to add light to my macro work when im in the forest

Feedback

to be honest first off im not going to say any thing different to any other photographer under stand your camera read the manual, understand the light always use a tripod if its practical to do so. give your self time to set up don't rush like i did . i know i could have done better.take in as much advise as you can if i didnt carry my camera with me 24/7 i would have missed this shot good luck Aiche1
