This was our epic view going into Jasper, Alberta last fall! My boyfriend is a tour bus driver and he said it was odd to see so many Elk laying on the side of the road at once. A whole herd of them!Time

The lighting was all natural as it was a dreary, rainy day but perhaps that was what Elk like?Equipment
Just the best camera I had with me- my Samsung s8 cel phone camera. I don't carry cameras and always use my cel phone.Inspiration
Seeing all of these Elk just relaxing on the side of the road was too amazing not to share! Going through Jasper is a crap shoot- you may go and see animals the entire way or you may go and not come across even one! I'm yet to see a bear myself! What was unusual a out this herd for me was the relaxing they were doing. I had never noticed them all laying about before, but that could be because of camouflage and my boyfriend pointed these out and pulled over. They hide themselves pretty nicely in the grass when you're driving along!Editing
Just did some sharpening and altered the contrast. Nothing huge. The shot had most everything it needed already.In my camera bag
