This is the effect of "hoar frost" on vegetation. This photo was taken alongside the CP rail line and TransCanada highway near Kamloops, BC

This was great timing, to catch the Canadian Pacific train along the Thompson River, amongst the hoar frost covered trees.

I happened to be in the right place at the right time to capture these trees covered in hoar frost along the Thompson River.

I was pleasantly surprised this butterfly remained still enough for me to capture the right angle!

I find nature amazing! Even more so when viewed up close to see the small details.
