I had just purchased a new Samyang 14mm lens, which I have since dropped and broken :(, and wanted to take it out for a test drive on a cold January morning. A million people in Louisville have shots of the skyline so I wanted to add a foreground element I haven't seen before. Luckily this root mass and barge rope provided an interesting composition!
