This is what's nice about having a studio.Time of day and weather are pretty much a non threat.Lighting
Yes. One of these sisters has a very pale complexion and the other somewhat tanned. So lighting had to be placed in such a way to get an even light on both of them.Equipment
Camera was a Canon 7d with a Canon 28-135 Lens.I seldom use a tripod for these shoots because I like to remain mobile to adjust to different angles.Inspiration
I like classic and vintage looks. These girls were willing to try a few in this style and absolutely loved the results. I had thought of a pose like this for a while and they pulled it off. Needless to say I was pleased with the results also.Editing
Just the normal levels, contrast, and a bit of sepia tone.In my camera bag
Canon 7d, 28-135 canon lens (my favorite walk around lens), and a canon 70-200..Feedback
I think the secret to this photo is it shows a connection, individuality, and emotion of these two sisters. To get this they must be comfortable but also aware of who they are. So I thought it best for this shot to just help refine the posing and keep in their thoughts that this is for their mother. Mom always seems to bring out an emotion..
