Location
The photo was taken at my home studio, using two lights and a not very big backdrop. I combined two pictures together which was not very difficult with the number 5 being the connecting point of the two images. Obviously it was my son's 5 birthday :-)
Time
I think it was late morning but as I was inside, using two lights to light my scene, the time of the day was not very important.
Lighting
I had the lights fairly low as my son was wearing a hat or was hiding behind the number so to not to have his face in shadow I had to lower the lights. I did not think of combining the two pictures when I took them. It came to me later when I was playing with the images in computer trying the one I liked the most and was unable to decide. I did not use tripod but because the number 5 was in the same place it was not difficult to combine them.
Equipment
This was shot on Nikon D750, 24-70mm (f2.8) lens at 40mm, ISO 100, F/4 and shutter speed of 1/200
I also used two old Bowens' studio lights (250W)

Inspiration
I was doing a little photoshoot of my son on his 5th birthday. It was lots of fun and not so much shooting but we managed to get few good ones. He was and still is a big fun of Indiana Jones, that's why the hat.
Editing
Not much of post-processing except of the merging of the two images. I only used two layers and a layer mask to make visible certain areas of the image bellow. As I did not use the tripod the most challenging bit was to fit the number onto the another number to align the images.
In my camera bag
I usually use my Nikon D750 DSLR camera and i200n the house the 24-70mm (2.8) lens as there is not much space, outdoors I love to use my 70-200 (2.8) lens as I love beautiful portraits with blurry background and don't do much landscape photography really. I am always thinking I should do more landscapes but I just seem to be drawned to photographing people.
Feedback
If I would know I will combine the images later, I would use a tripod, so please, use a tripod if you thinking of merging two or more pictures. I don't use tripod very often because with children you have to be flexible and move around and up and down as they don't stop :-)
