Location
This photo was taken at Saguaro Park East in Tucson, AZTime
It was taken at about 7pm just as the sun was disappearing from the sky.Lighting
I had spent a long day of walking. We had visited a local zoo and walked about 2.5 miles before coming to the park and completing a challenge to ourselves. We had wanted to walk the 8 mile drive through the park just to see if we could make it. This was taken at mile 7 (9.5 for the day) without a tripod, pretty high ISO and no flash.Equipment
I used a Nikon D3200 with a kit lens. I didn't pay attention really to the settings because I really didn't think it would come out.Inspiration
The colors in the sky that evening were simply gorgeous. I couldn't pass up the slim chance that may come out ok. Other than lightening it up, there isn't much editing in this photoEditing
In Lightroom, I lightened up the photo and added slight saturation and cleaned up the noise. That was all the processing I did.In my camera bag
My Nikon D3200, a few kit lenses and my tripod. I also have a remote trigger for night photos and a glass photo ball. Lots of batteries and SD cards!Feedback
Follow your gut, or the voice in your head. You don't always need fancy equipment to capture the shot.
