Location
I took this picture in the botanical garden of Harare in Zimbabwe. It's already more than 12 years ago and i used one of the first Fuji Finepix. It was an incredible camera especially for the pictures of flowers and for the near scenes.Time
It was in the middle of the afternoon with a very big sun but This waterlilly was in the middel shadow that reveals the magnificent electric blue color of the flower.Lighting
So direct i saw it I knew that should be a very nice shootEquipment
I used the Fuji Finepix S602 Zoom without tripod and without flashInspiration
The colorEditing
I do a little post processing (contrast and saturation) with photofiltre.In my camera bag
Sony A200 with the tele-objective and the Sony A68 with a midrange objectiveFeedback
When you see something you think 'it should be a very nice shoot'. Take your time (not for animals only). Turn around the 'object' to have the best point of view with the best light. Stop to respire and shoot.
