Behind The Lens

Location

took this photo just north of the monument valley navajo tribal park

Time

this photo was taken at 10:15 in the morning after i had already driven throughout the park starting at sunrise

Lighting

i wanted to give an idea of the expansive and desolate territory here ... the storm was just a fortunate happenstance

Equipment

canon 7d with tamron 28-300 lens, hand held

Inspiration

i had driven north of the park to see hat rock and while driving back down to the park area i was struck by the scene and how the rock formations completely dominated the horizon

Editing

my post processing included lightroom and landscape pro

In my camera bag

in my bag i always carry several lenses, two camera bodies, filters, batteries, and cleaning items

Feedback

i have since added a 24-70 lens to my bag for more expansive or sweeping landscape shots ... it is just the ticket !
