I took this photo while on holiday in Fiji at a water pond in the village I was staying in. I love the beautiful colour from the water lily along with the happy statement it makes "Look at me I'm bold bright and here to be photographed". I'm a self taught photographer and I'm learning all the time but I just love the way a single flower can express happiness and enjoyment.Time
I remember this day well 24/4/17 around the middle of the day, it was my birthday so a beautiful flower that made me feel so happy was the perfect picture to take. I was walking past the lily pond and it was standing tall just begging to be photographed, of course the camera is always hanging around my neck so I couldn't resist. One of the most memorable moments of my holiday!Lighting
I was a beautiful day so the lighting was good where the pond was positioned, I really just had to aim and shoot with this photo as the flower did the hard work by posing beautifully.Equipment
I shot this photo with my Olympus E-M5, Aperture 32/10, ISO 200, Shutter 1/320, Focal Length 45/1. I didn't use a tripod or flash with this shot.Inspiration

Take pictures of what makes you happy I find they always turn out well, maybe because it's a positive attitude. I always use my 5P's - Patience, Positivity, Pay attention, Pro active and Persistence. But most of all enjoy what you do don't make it a chore!
