Location
This photo was taken from the shores of Astwood Park in Bermuda.Time
Back in 2010, Bermuda was on hurricane watch since 17 September. A direct hit was forecast. Even the spiders had spun their webs close to the ground. On the Saturday, September 18, Hurricane Igor passed us 40 mi to our West as a Cat.1, winds of 91 mph, with gusts of 117 mph. In the early afternoon, when we knew it would not make a direct hit, a number of residents and visitors lined the shores to watch the stormy seas. Watching the storm agitate the ocean, I spotted this regular spume. Without a tripod, exposure left on 'Auto', I steadied myself and was lucky to get this shot of the waves as the wind slammed the ocean against the rocks.Lighting
With the higher concentration of vapor in the atmosphere, hurricane conditions provided the perfect lighting for this shot taken 1/640 sec. f/5.6 17.7mm. ISO 125Equipment
It turned out to be a good shot showing off the capacity of the versatile Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS7.Inspiration
Seeing the usually calm ocean in such raging waves, and the strong winds whipping up the salt spray, inspired me, along with many photographers in the crowd, watching the spectacle, happy to have dodged the full force of the hurricane.Editing

I am a rank amateur, motivated mainly by the beauty of Nature, seeing many great shots in my mind's eye, but I have no great equipment, only my trusty Panasonic!Feedback
Sometimes we are given those overcast days which are so kind to photographers. I try to take advantage of those conditions, which soften images. I look forward to learning more styles of photography.
