Hi. There's very little post-processing in this image and no filters were used. I set my aperture at about f/7 so that I wasn't shooting wide open and got a good enough depth of field and then experimented with 20, 25 and 30 second exposures. I also tried ISO between 200-500. This is a 25 second exposure at ISO325 which gave me the clarity and image quality I wanted without too much noise. The mountain in the background was artificially lit with a light from the village. I then converted it into B&W in Lightroom 5.2.

Location
Lac Tignes, in the ski resort of Tignes, France.Time
11pmLighting
The scene was lit from the village below and artificial street light. No additional lighting or flash was used.Equipment
Canon EOS6D with EF24-105 F/4L Lens. Triggered the remote release using the Canon app on my mobile phone.Inspiration
It was a perfectly still evening and the reflection in the lake was crystal clear. I'd had a hard day skiing and though the tranquility of the night was a really amazing contrast with the fast paced hustle and bustle of the daytime.Editing

Don't think just because its dark you have to shoot wide open or else you'll lose the depth of field. For reflections, try longer exposures as it will help 'smooth out' any ripples in the water making a clearer image. Have patience and keep trying different angles.
