Behind The Lens

Location

I have take this photo at the Buursezand, the Netherlands. While I was dancing.

Time

I was just walking alone in the nature reserve. I really love it to turn up the music and just watching all the beauty around me. So I came there at 2 pm. and just start to walk without knowing where I going to. So after 3 km I saw this little bridge that lays over the water. I throwdown my bag and lay my phone above it. So I start the selfiecamera and I was going to dance. I remember I've listening to Kid Rock - Born Free. The lyrics of the song describes exactly how I felt myself on that time. So I just lived like I'm loved, and walked like I'm free. After that song I go back to my phone and hoped to see one good shot and that shot was this one. (october, 2017)

Lighting

With the materials I work with, I can't choose an ISO so that makes it hard. But just trust in yourself and your camera and it will be fine.

Equipment

On this moment I didn't had my own camera so I used my cellphone, Huawaii Y6II Compact.

Inspiration

I really like photography and making some memories. It's not always about the picture, but about who you are on that day and time. So when I look to some photograph, I remember my feelings and my thoughts who I had on that place. Also I really like to travel. So I want to photograph every place I've ever been.

Editing

I always make pictures from the floor. I use my bag as tripor. I use myself as model but I try to focus on the landscape where I am. So in my pictures you will see a lot of the nature. The details of the model is not important for me. It's just to break the landscape and make it more kittenish.

In my camera bag

Since november 2017 I haved buy my first camera. So the time of Huawai photography is over. Now when I travel, I always take my nikon D3300 with me. I use the basic lens for the camera. I am trying to save some money to buy a better one. But for now I am dealing with this. I always tell myself it's not always about the quality of the picture. But your idea about how the picture should be. So it's about the perspective, attitude and layout.

Feedback

I am not a professional. So I always be alone when I take my pictures. And that part of it makes it really hard. I use myself as model and I don't have some tripod. But your own eyes are the only thing you need. Just be creative and try to make the best with all the things you have. Just look around and asked yourself by every nice idea what comes in your mind, Can I do this on the way I want it? So if you can't ask yourself "how could I make the best of this?" Sometimes is the picture in our heads not how it supposed to be. Just deal with it and make something great of it.
