This was shot at Lake Okechobee Fla. He was tangled up in fishing line in the water unable to fly. This guy on the pier with a line tried repeatedly to snag him. There was close to 30 people watching,,, we stood there,all of us transfixed on this rescue effort.
The guy snagged him and lifted him up and freed him from the fishing line. The bird was okay and after a few moments he flew away. If you look closely you can see line running down his neck.
