Behind The Lens

Location

"This photo was taken at my family's home on Christmas Eve on the front porch!"

Time

"This is one of my favorite images that I have ever captured because it has a personal story behind it."

Lighting

"To be honest I wasn't really focused on the lighting so much in this photo. It was Christmas Eve in the afternoon so the sun was starting to go down. I just quickly tried to capture the photo before it got dark."

Equipment

" As for the equipment, I just used my old iPhone camera to capture this image."

Inspiration

"I was inspired to take this image of our sweet Copper due to the fact that she was an early Christmas present." "My family rescued her on Christmas Eve from a shelter. She had two older brother's and she was the runt of the family." "Like most runts, Copper was fighting to get food from the other dogs and she wasn't chosen to be adopted until all her siblings were already gone."

Editing

"I just snapped this photo an hour after we rescued Copper."

In my camera bag

" I just use my camera on my phone to take most pictures. As well as I use a photo editing system."

Feedback

"If you are trying to capture a pet, I would suggest getting the attention of them with a treat. Most pets will sit for the treat, which in turn gives you a good shot as well as rewards your pet for obeying."
