Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Cathedral Cove in New Zealand.

Time

I woke up at 3:30am to get to this place on time for a sunrise. The path which leads there takes about 1 hour walk and it was a bit difficult to go there in total darkness. But it was so worthy!

Lighting

There was this light, specific for Cathedral Cove sunrises. I cannot explain why, but it feels different than any other sunrise light in the world.

Equipment

This was shot on Olympus O-MD E-M10 with 14-48mm lens. I used the tripod to take this selfie and It was taken on the timelapse mode.

Inspiration

I was running around, taking pictures of the sea and the sun when I walked behind my husband and saw this reflection of the sun in the sea next to him. And I just love to have some couple photogrqphes so I decided to set the timelapse and sit next to hi , watch the sun rising up ??

Editing

Unfortunatelly I had the setting of raw format turned off, so the post process was a bit dofficult, but I enhanced the shaddows and it helped so much :)

In my camera bag

I alwsys have my camera Fujfilm X-T2 with 18-55mm lens and most of the time I take a triopod with me too.

Feedback

Just set the alarm and wame up early !
