This image was captured in the wake of President Trumps issuance of the "third Muslim Ban", which was a tweak on the original two legislations which would bar citizens of certain Muslim majority countries from coming to the United States. The text written on the tape covering the models mouth reads "#NOMUSLIMBAN (ever)". I shot this with a friend that I had been voicing frustration to, about these recurrent "bans", and we decided to try to create an image that would hopefully move the viewer to understand the humans that these callous legislations potentially inflict harm upon.
