This photo was taken August 8th, 2017 at 10am. These boys were born premature and this was their 6 month photo session. Super healthy and chunky! Growing perfectly!Lighting
I shot this with natural light coming from their bedroom windows on each side of them and a flash. Shot the image with a 400 ISO, 4.0 and 1/160sec. Getting a clear shot was a task considering their not wanting to sit still, obviously!Equipment
This image was taken with my Sony A77M2 and a 16-50mm lens. I also used bounce light with my Sony HVL-F43M Flash.Inspiration
My dear friend tried for many years to have these beautiful babies. I want to help her capture as many milestones in their lives as possible! They were not quite sitting up on their own so we propped them up on the pillows. They were squirmy and not wanting to be so close to each other. This was right before one of them stiffened up and squeezed himself between the pillows!Editing
I used Lightroom to boost the exposure a bit and to give it an indoor feel.In my camera bag
I carry my Sony A77M2 with my 50 prime 1.8 and my 16-50mm 2.8 I am not much of a flash user but I was very happy that I had it in my bag that day!Feedback
Shooting babies is very challenging at this age, especially 2 of them! I love to shoot for expression and not so much pose. It may not be the right way for most but being a mom myself, I love seeing those facials that are candid and raw.
