My friend and I were told that we could get some good photos of birds at Tigertail Beach in Marco Island. I was not too keen on crossing the lagoon to get there--after all, we were in Florida--what about Alligators? She was brave so I followed and we were rewarded by the sight of several beautiful birds. This Osprey was one of them. While were taking pictures the tide came partly in and what was hip deep on the way in was waist deep on the way out. I carried my camera equipment above my head in a backpack!
