Behind The Lens

Location

Horseshoe Bend Arizona, near Page.

Time

Midnight

Lighting

The lens used was an F4 aperture. I plan on adventuring there again with a brighter aperture lens. It’s also pitch black and the canyon is a 1000 foot drop, so great care has to be taken.

Equipment

Fujifilm GFX 50s, 23mm (18mm equiv) F4 prime, and a good tripod.

Inspiration

I grew up in this desert.

Editing

Just normal color correction and small light slider adjustments.

In my camera bag

A GFX with the 50mm (40mm equiv) F3.5, and a Fujifilm XT3 with an assortment if wide angle lenses.

Feedback

Tripod, nice bright aperture lens (F2 or more) nice wide angle 24mm or wider, and some time. Make sure to go during a new moon, and be aware of weather, rain storms at night in the desert are very treacherous.
