Sometimes you experience things in life that keeps you grounded, things that make a significant impact, things that remind you to stop bitching when you can't find your left sock in the morning. This girl approached me in India in Varanassi, she sells newspapers and postcards. For her it's all a routine saying the same sentence all day long 'please buy some' and getting hit in the face with rejection every day, day in day out. Her face says it all, she's dissapointed because she knows she won't sell enough to contribute to her family and everyday she looses a piece of herself. And all I can do is wonder what she is doing now and what she has become.
