Summer vacation a few years back at a new cottage in Gatineau. We jumped in the water only to find that a large snapping turtle was living under the dock. Needless to say it scared the stuffing out of the kids. I grabbed my little Lumix underwater camera and lured the big fellah out. As you can see from this picture, he was quite intent on catching me. Luckily, they don't move too fast and we learned to cohabit peacefully. I'm guessing he was fairly old because, as you also can see, he has moss growing on him in several places!
