Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at SM Mall of Asia by the Bay, Manila.

Time

The shot was taken around noon time, while the sun was at its peak.

Lighting

Natural lighting was used in the shot and I used an IR filter to cut-off the amount of light sinve it was noon time and also to achieve a long exposure and motion shot while the ferris-wheel is rotating.

Equipment

I used my Canon EOS 5D Mk II mounted on a tripod. For the lens, an UWA Canon EF 17-40 f 4.0L with a Hoya R72 IR filter.

Inspiration

I always wanted to capture things showing motion by using long exposure shots.

Editing

It was post processed by converting the photo into B&W and some dodging and burning using Adobe Photoshop.

In my camera bag

My Canon 5D Mk II (Now a 6D Mk II), Canon EF 17-40 f4.0L and Canon EF 40 f2.8

Feedback

Study motion of people and things, how they move and visualize the shot that you want to create!
