Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken a the New Albany National Cemetery in Indiana.

Time

This was a beautiful Summer's evening and the sun was slowly tucking herself in.

Lighting

The sun is beginning to set here which allowed me to catch highlights through the trees.

Equipment

I use a Fujifilm X-A1 with a standard 16-50mm lens.

Inspiration

I believe each and every one of these headstones tell a story. It's our job to listen and learn from them. My object that day was not to just take a picture but to capture the stories. Our nation's story. Our family's story. Our story.

Editing

No Processing.

In my camera bag

I keep my camera and a small tripod in my bag ready to grab and go.

Feedback

This may sound silly but stop trying! Being a total novice myself I spent so much time trying to make the right scenario or have things be "just right" that I lost sight the reason I bought a camera to begin with. I wanted to capture and save moments spent with my children and family and the world around me. Our world doesn't need us to set the stage as she brings her own! Enjoy every moment and don't delete anything!
