With no glass-blowing experience, I visited a local glassblowing studio, hoping to end up with sculpture that, in sunlight, could reveal exquisite patterns and cast amazing shadows. Kept at a safe distance from the furnace by the technician, I blew into the tube that conducts air into the glass. Here is the result, a skin of glass encasing my breath.
