Behind The Lens

Location

The Valley Lake is a park just few minutes from Mount Gambier, South Australia. It abounds with water birds such as black swans, various species of ducks and swamphens that call it their home. The serene grounds are great for picnics and a relaxing day by the water.

Time

By mid-morning, the birds come ashore to spend time on the field and the purple swamphen is one who decided to dry itself under the sun.

Lighting

It was a bright and sunny morning.

Equipment

I have a Panasonic DMC FZ150

Inspiration

Birds doing what comes naturally, taking time to relax on the grass, is an insipiring sight.

Editing

Improving contrast using automated feature provided by the app was the only post-processing done to the photo

In my camera bag

I carry an Panasonic DMC FZ150
