My dad is a beekeeper and I like to go out to his hives and take photos with my old canon rebel. I go out when the sun is up and bright. Not only is the light great for the kind of photos I want, but the bees are buzzing happily and working hard. I sit right up along side the hives, careful to not be in their direct line of flight to the entrance of their hives, although I am often hit by a flying bee. I have yet to be stung while photographing. My dad calls me the "bee whisperer"
