Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Napanee On, CA. Spring Side park.

Time

This was taken around mid afternoon on a fall day with heavy cloud cover. Provided enough light for a long exposure shot.

Lighting

Being as it was mid afternoon, a long exposed shot, I had extreme cloud cover which made it possible.

Equipment

I used a short tripod on the rocks close to the water. The water level was low and allowed me to get into the middle of the falls with out getting wet.

Inspiration

I was out taking fall photos and I noticed the water level on the river a falls was very low. This allows for some rocks to open up in the center of the falls. Very carefully I climbed out there to take this photo among others.

Editing

The only thing I did was turn down the brightness on the over all shot. Because the long exposures normally don't work well during daylight. And the heavy cloud cover helped alot.

In my camera bag

Tripod, flash, some stock lenes for Canon and Sony. Lens filters now that I have them.

Feedback

Always keep a creative eye. Look for the unique photo opportunity that no one else has thought of. But always be safe.
