Taken at Corkagh Park.Dublin Ireland on a freezing cold morning -2 Degrees Celsius .The other side of pond was completely frozen.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken while my wife and I were on holiday in Switzerland.We traveled across the border to France and this picture is of Mont Blanc.

Time

This photo was taken mid afternoon from the front seat of our coach and was shot freehand.

Lighting

There had been heavy rain on the day in question but as we approached the sun broke through the clouds to reveal the top of the mountain surrounded in Cloud.

Equipment

This Shot was taken with a Nikon Coolpix 30x zoom bridge camera.

Inspiration

The beauty of seeing the Alps for the first time was fantastic and as I live in Ireland we get very little Snow so to see a mountain so high up and covered in snow was priceless.

Editing

Editing was on laptop Windows 10 , adjustments to contrast/Sharpening/Light all done on Windows at the time.

In my camera bag

Now days I have the following:Nikon D7200 with choice of 50mm Prime lens/70mm-300mm Zoom lens.Nikon D750 24-70mm,2 x Nissan Speed lights.

Feedback

Take your time make sure that you would be willing to show all your results,remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Practice a few shots in live view if you can the you can see what adjustments you need to make,best to adjust before you shoo then spend hours trying to adjust setting afterwards.
