The rainforest covering the slopes of Volcan Psoas was dense and makes up part of the famous cloud forest. As the hot air from the ocean to the west is forced up the mountains, it cools and condenses. This leads to almost constant nutrient rich cloud cover over the volcanic crater.

I was hiking in Costa Rica saw these falls. I had to wade into these waist deep water and balance my camera on a rock to get this angle just right.

Being mindful of the incoming tide I climbed out onto some rocks with my tripod and tried not to get too wet!
