Behind The Lens
Location
The photo was taken on a Safari in South-Africa in the summer of 2017. It is taken right after we first met the Elephants, and if you look close they are right in the background on the right side of the image.Time
It was taken in the afternoon as the sun was starting to set.Lighting
The shadows created by the trees where we were parked as the Elephants walked by made som really interesting lines in the scenery. And the way the light hit the tree made it really pop from the rest of the trees in the area.Equipment
This photo was taken on a GoPro Hero5 Black, at 1/430 sec, and f / 2,8.Inspiration
Before the trip i really was looking forward to take pictures of the animals, but when we were driving around in the open jeep i couldent resist in taking alot of pictures of the interesting landscape in the area.Editing
I had just started beck in photography when i was going throug my pictures from this trip. I had bought some presets from different creatives before i went throug them. I ended up with useing Peter McKinnnons preset "heat stroke" on this one.In my camera bag
I bought my first DSLR in 2012 and i still have the same setup still. A canon t2i with the 18-55 f / 3,5-5,6 and a 55-250 f / 5,6-6,3. I just resently bought a Sigma ART 35 f / 1,4 prime and i LOVE it. The GoPro hero5 Black Normaly lives in my bag if i want to get thet wide angel, actioncam look.Feedback
When traveling its not always that easy to plan every shot, so take ALOT of pictures and dont throw them away when post prosessing before you have tried a few different ways of editing. Specially if you are a beginner/enthusiast as myself. By taking alot of pictures you are training your eye to see more what your brain likes before ypu pres the shutter.
